In support of those considering or preparing for the senior promotion process, the Service, supported by the SWDF, will host a Lean-in Circle at Police Scotland College – Tulliallan, on Wednesday 30 November, led and facilitated by Chief Superintendent Gillian MacDonald, Local Policing Commander for Ayrshire Division.
Lean-in Circles have their origin in the US and are now starting to be held in other locations worldwide. Circles are about encouraging each other and learning from each others experiences and ideas, giving participants the opportunity to benefit from everyone’s best thinking.
The first Lean-in Circle in Police Scotland will focus on supporting candidates for the senior promotion process. Whilst being delivered in conjunction with SWDF and aimed primarily at women officers, who remain under represented in senior roles and ranks in the organisation, the opportunity to attend is open to all.
The Lean-in session will include input from a member of the Senior Management Executive Team, a world class motivational speaker and high performance coach and a senior member of the Police Scotland Leadership & Professional Development Team, who will advise how LPD can help support individual development.
